Development and Special Projects. She has good experience
working, living and studying on both sides of the border.
Ms. Helsley’s experience working as
a Trade Representative Intern at the U.S-Mexico Chamber of
Commerce allowed her to interface with high level executives and
diplomats from both countries.
Offering a unique blend of creative
and technical knowledge, Ms. Helsley is recognized for her
ability to translate her client’s complex ideas into powerful
marketing strategies. While working for a developer of voice
activated software for the telecom and interactive media
markets, she played a leading role in Latin American business
development.
Her superior language skills have
been reflected in the numerous translation and localization
projects she has carried out for companies. She knows how to
integrate translations in both English and Spanish into a
company’s Web site and advertising material in order to
strategically market to the client’s desired attention group,
all the while adapting the various terminologies of the broad
Latin American Spanish language to the client’s benefit.
Ms. Helsley, who resides in San
Diego, received her Bachelor's of Business Administration in
International Finance and Marketing from the University of
Miami, Florida. During her studies, she completed a semester
abroad at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. In
2003, she graduated with an MBA from Alliant International
University's Mexico City campus. Her diverse educational
background makes her savvy in Latin American culture and
business and political issues.
Along with her term as a Trade
Representative Intern, Ms. Helsley has experience in high tech
industries such as voice recognition, wireless and other
telecomm areas. Working at an import-export firm in Mexico
City, she learned valuable skills applicable to the import and
export of almost any product. Her matchmaking and project
management skills were developed through the initiatives her
contractors carried out in both the USA and Mexico.
Ms. Helsley brings a sound know-how in marketing
and product placement, matchmaking, market-directed translating,
project management and high tech and Latin American business
issues.
